As president of Slyman Bros Appliances, Chris Slyman is carrying forward a family business that has been a St. Louis staple since 1965 — and driving it into its next era of growth. In recent years, their operations have increased significantly. Slyman has launched a builder sales division supplying apartment complexes across four states, added new product lines, spearheaded expansions of the company’s South and West County showrooms, and currently expanding to Columbia, MO with opening their 6th location. With the help of their new 56,000 sq ft local distribution center, the company now boasts quicker delivery times than its competitors, same-day pick-up, and thousands of products in-stock.
In the broader community, Slyman secured naming rights for the Slyman Bros SLYSA Soccer Complex, partnered with St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club to support youth athletics, and signed a 3-year sponsorship deal with Mizzou Athletics. He has also advanced local philanthropy, most recently sponsoring the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction. Under his guidance, Slyman Bros has continued to pair strong growth with a deep commitment to the region’s families, athletes and charitable causes.
