COLUMBIA, MO (April 22, 2026) – Slyman Bros Appliances, a Missouri legacy with more than 60 years of family-owned expertise, is proud to announce the official Grand Opening celebration of its Columbia showroom from May 1, 2, and 4, 2026. Located at 1801 Westfall Dr., this first Mid-Missouri location marks a major expansion for the company beyond the St. Louis region.
Grand Opening Kick-off: Ribbon Cutting & Industry Night
The festivities begin Thurs., April 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. This evening serves as an industry night celebration and an invitation-only event for local vendors in the home industry, designers, remodelers and builders to preview the state-of-the-art showroom. A special raffle for a Wolf Gourmet small appliance and KitchenAid mixer will be held exclusively during the invitation only event.
Grand Opening Weekend Highlights
The public is invited to explore the showroom during the following hours:
- Friday, May 1: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, May 2: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Monday, May 4: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Slyman family members, including President and University of Missouri alumnus Chris Slyman, will be present throughout the weekend to welcome the community and share their signature "customer-first" approach. On Saturday, May 2, fans can enjoy a special meet and greet with Truman the Tiger from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
