Columbia, MO (Nov. 24, 2025) – Slyman Bros Appliances, a family-owned legacy in Missouri retail for 60 years, will officially open its doors in Columbia on Nov. 24, 2025. Located at 1801 Westfall Dr., Columbia MO, 65202, this new showroom marks a significant milestone as the company’s first brick-and-mortar location outside of the St. Louis region, bringing its signature customer-first approach directly to Mid-Missouri homeowners and builders.
While this is a new location, the Slyman family is not new to Columbia. The expansion is deeply rooted in personal ties to the region, with several family members—including President Chris Slyman—being proud University of Missouri alumni.
“Opening a showroom in Columbia is deeply personal for our family,” said Chris Slyman, President of Slyman Bros Appliances. “As an MU alumnus, I know Columbia is a dynamic, vibrant community. This expansion, with a new showroom and distribution warehouse, is a natural next step for us. We’ve been servicing the Columbia, Lake of the Ozarks, and Jefferson City area for years, and it just made sense to establish a physical presence to better serve our customers here,” said Slyman.
The new Columbia showroom will feature a curated selection of top-tier appliances and the latest innovations from leading brands. The location will be staffed by local, dedicated experts trained to provide the memorable, low-pressure buying experience that Slyman Bros has become known for.
An opening is scheduled for Nov. 24 that will feature exclusive in-store promotions for Columbia residents, substantial appliance rebates, and live demonstrations.
